Almodóvar's composer, with four Oscar nominations. Restrained, chamber-like and instantly recognisable.
He began in film with Julio Medem, on pictures such as The Red Squirrel and Lovers of the Arctic Circle. Since The Flower of My Secret in 1995 he has scored Pedro Almodóvar's films. His international work with Fernando Meirelles and Tomas Alfredson took him to the Oscars.
